A salute to Bill Yosses and fudge brownies

Bill Yosses prepares fudgy chocolate browniesOn this Presidents Day, we’re going to stay out of politics. It’s just a tad messy for our taste. If we’re getting involved in a mess, it’ll begin in our kitchen and end with delicious fudge brownies!

Instead, we’ll take this opportunity to salute Bill Yosses.

Wait. Who?

Yosses is the White House’s Executive Pastry Chef. Our politicians may not send brownies to one another, but they can agree on Yosses. He’s a truly bipartisan choice, appointed by President George W. Bush in January 2007 and retained by President Barack Obama in January 2009.

Given his position, you’d think this guy makes some of the best brownies. You might be wrong. In his book The Perfect Finish, Yosses shared recipes for 85 different desserts … but only one for fudge brownies!

His Extra Bittersweet Chocolate Brownies are “fudge brownies that will be stiff competition for (other desserts) at the buffet table.” And that's it.

Don’t worry. When you send brownies from Fairytale Brownies, you have plenty of options for friends and loved ones on either side of the aisle.

Want to send brownies with a patriotic theme? Here’s a selection of our fudgy brownies in patriotic packaging.

We’re partial to the Patriotic Morsel 24, which includes 24 bite-size Magic Morsels in six mouthwatering flavors and wrapped in an elegant red, white and blue band.

We salute you, Mr. Yosses. You keep the president happy. We’ll keep making the best brownies in the business. :)
