Joanne Fluke has created a unique literary combination that we just had to share with our readers. Fluke writes mystery novels that contain actual baking recipes throughout the text.
Her latest work is Double Fudge Brownie Murder, which is the 18th installment of a series starring character Hannah Swensen. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “Even though Hannah’s fabulous brownies can be found at the scene of the crime in the new book, it’s not a poisoning case.”
Whew! That’s certainly a relief to us. We’d hate to see delicious gourmet brownies get a bad rap.
After all, at Fairytale Brownies, we pride ourselves on baking the best brownies in a luxurious assortment of 12 mouthwatering flavors. Our gourmet brownies are the perfect companion to a good book or a great movie.
Speaking of which, for those among us who aren’t big readers, the Hannah Swensen stories are about to jump from the page to the screen. Later this spring, a movie version of the first novel in the series, 2001’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder, will premiere on Hallmark Channel.
So order some gourmet brownies from Fairytale Brownies and curl up to check out Hannah Swensen’s adventures on a television set near you!
