Brownie batter, baseball chatter, does it really matter? Both are sweet to my ears... Cactus League Baseball; that's all I'm saying. For those that know me, know that I am all things baseball, and a huge fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks! I have been counting the days since the last game in 2011. I have to admit, (should I admit??) I watched 160 baseball games last year! Needless to say, I am excited about spring training which starts in 6 weeks. I am proud to announce I have my spring training tickets in hand for my first game of the season, Dbacks/Giants. That was also the last game I attended when the Dbacks clinched the NL West Division. Hmmmm, fate? It was also on my 33rd wedding anniversary!
The beautiful, sunny weather in Arizona attracts visitors from all over the country to part take in America's favorite past time. There are 15 teams that participate in the rich history of the Cactus League in Arizona. Did you know that Willie Mays was the first to hit a homer at Phoenix Municipal Stadium? And, Mickey Mantle & Joe DiMaggio played one season of spring training baseball here together. Now, that is some rich baseball history! It's about time you grabbed yourself some fudgy chocolate brownies
, a blanket, and headed out to Salt River Fields! If you happen to stop by a spring traning game at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the Fairytale Brownies Bakery
is just down the street. Stop by and pick up a few gourmet brownies
to get you through to the 7th inning stretch! ...Play Ball!
