Fairytale, Aerotek one step closer to building a playground

As you already know, Fairytale Brownies is raising funds to build a local playground in April 2011. The most recent event held to benefit our nonprofit partner KaBOOM! was a Summer Swing Invitational Golf Tournament sponsored by our friends at Aerotek.

There were 100 participants at Sept. 10's event at Ocotillo Golf Course in Chandler. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The temperature stayed below 100 and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Between entry fees, raffle tickets, mulligan and string purchases, the putting contest and the gambling hole, Aerotek raised $4,000! A big thank you to Aerotek for organizing the tournament and another big thank you to all who participated.

Fairytale Brownies was a sponsor and donated several new brownie towers as raffle prizes. Each golfer also received a Fairytale Sprite or a new Fairytale Cookie in their goody bag. One foursome from Terracon Consultants commented that their golf game improved tremendously after eating their brownie. I can believe that. Chocolate IS healthy you know, and gourmet brownies from Fairytale are - well, like a fairytale!

Here are a few photos from the tournament:

Ready for the scramble start...

The Fairytale Brownies team: Erin Kress, Eileen Spitalny, Hunter Kreie, David Kravetz and Brett Crosby (our UPS rep!).

Erin, David and Hunter each won a sleeve of golf balls in the putting contest. David came in second in the putt-off. He almost won a fancy pair of Esoles!

This gentleman was a happy winner of the Regal Tower from Fairytale Brownies.

The Terracon Consultants team loves Fairytale Brownies!

The winning team - ALL IN FORUM - finished 19 under par.

Mike Brenneman won the prize for the longest drive.
