"Free Fairytale Brownies" seems to be the theme for this weekend. There are several events taking place for local and national Fairytale fans.
Now through Nov. 1, ifood.tv is running a Halloween contest where 10 lucky people will win a Fairytale 9-Piece Truffle gift. Followers of the national food video recipe blog are asked to watch several videos and comment about their favorite on the web site. Check out the Halloween page and you might be a winner. If you haven't tried our delicious truffles, now is the time to do it. They are spooky good!
Locally, I will be handing out samples of our gourmet brownies in Original and Cream Cheese flavors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Whole Foods Market Tempe (Rural & Baseline). Whole Foods is celebrating Local Vendor Day and we are happy to be a part of it. Come by Whole Foods and say hello to me. I might let you have extra fudge brownie samples!
The saying will be "Peace, Love, BROWNIES" on Sunday, when a couple hundred lucky gift bag holders receive assorted flavors of Fairytale Sprites at the Cupcake Love-In 2011. Event organizers hope to honor community and local businesses with a celebration dedicated solely to desserts. Central Arizona Shelter Services, an organization that empowers the homeless to become self-sufficient, will receive 100 percent of all ticket and raffle sales. A Fairytale Brownies Classic Tower Gift will be one of the raffle prizes.
The Love-In will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale. Tickets should be purchased ONLINE in advance and cost $20 for adults, $5 for children 10 years and under, and $50 for VIPs. (VIP hour will be 10 - 11 a.m.)
