In 2008, Arizona was preparing for Super Bowl XLII to be played in Glendale. The undefeated New England Patriots were playing the wild card New York Giants. The big game may not be in Arizona this year (2015), but because the same two teams will be playing, I thought our football-playing Brownie Guy would help us get in the Super Bowl mood.
Fairytale Brownies was part of the media celebration held at Corona Ranch in Laveen a few days before the 2008 game.
We created a couple of football field table covers, dressed our Fairytale Brownie Guy in Giants and Patriots gear, filled football bowls with fudge brownies and took predictions from passersby.
The predicted winning team for the game that night was the Giants. I remember handing out plenty of gourmet brownies as people marked their predictions on our chalkboard. The temperature was so cold that I thought maybe we actually were having our party on the East Coast!
Have you started planning your Super Bowl party menu yet? Be sure to include our Belgian chocolate brownies for dessert. Keep it simple and order your brownies online. All three sizes will suit your needs.
Magic Morsels are the perfect size to throw to each other in between televised plays. The Morsels small enough so they won't harm people (or things) if the passer mis-throws or the receiver doesn't catch. The only problem with throwing a Morsel to someone is that he or she will eat the brownie rather than throw it back.
Sprites are a little more substantial so you might want to put them in bowls (like we did in the photos above) rather than throw them around. Just let your party guests dig for their favorite flavor.
Full-sized brownies are for serious fudge brownie eaters. I suggest plating these and then standing back. There might be some tackling to get to the dessert table.
