Get to know me

Hello, Fairytale Fans!

I'm Alyssa Andrews and work in the Marketing Department at Fairytale Brownies. My official title is Sales and PR. In addition to the obvious, I am Co-Founder Eileen Spitalny's assistant, I research new Fairytale products, coordinate donations, and maintain our KaBOOM! partnership.

I have a journalism background so I'm naturally "nosy." I make it a point to know as much as I can about all things Fairytale Brownies, so if you have any questions, just ask!

Three reasons to eat a Fairytale Brownies dark chocolate treat every day

Researchers have been telling us for years that dark chocolate is good for us. As a chocolate lover, I don't need to be convinced of the benefits, but based on what I've read, I've come to the conclusion that eating one Fairytale brownie a day is actually good for me.

Consider this: Each Fairytale brownie is baked with Belgian dark chocolate - 100% dark cocoa.

1. Dark chocolate is good for the heart.Studies show that a 3.5 oz dark chocolate bar eaten every day by people who have high blood...

They'll get well soon with Fairytale's cheery, new gift band

This may sound a little wierd, but I love the design of our new Get Well Soon gift band so much that I can't wait for someone I know to be sick so I can send out a gift!

Luckily, I won't have to wait too long. My husband is having surgery today and this cheery box of Belgian chocolate brownies will be waiting for him when he gets home. I believe he'll definitely mend quicker between eating gourmet brownies and having his lovely wife tending to his needs.

The new band features a brilliant sun...

Even those watching their weight can enjoy an occasional Fairytale Brownies treat

January is the month when people set new goals or reaffirm old ones. It's the month when nearly EVERYONE vows to eat healthier and lose weight. I am one of those people.

I have always been on the fluffier side of physically fit. I can say I was happy with my weight about five times in my life - three of those times were just before I became pregnant for each of my boys (obviously my husband appreciated my weight at those times as well!). I love food. I love preparing it, eating it, serving it and...

'Twas the first week of December at Fairytale Brownies

I took a couple of photos in our store today and while looking at the stockings hung on the wall, the poem, "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," popped into my head. I am no Clement Clarke Moore, but here is a much shorter "Fairytale" version...

'Twas the first week of December and all through the store

Fairytale team members were hand packing brownie gifts galore.

The store's stockings were hung by the tree with care;

garland, poinsettias, and purple ornaments were everywhere.

Store visitors sampled...

Mom loved turkey, Dad loved Caramel brownies

Thanksgiving was my mother's favorite holiday. She told us so every year for as long as I can remember! She loved everything about this time of year - the colors, the weather, the company, the food - specifically the turkey. She loved turkey so much, she could have eaten it every day of the year. She never raved about Easter the way she did Thanksgiving. That's because she disliked ham so much.

Mom passed away this year (BEFORE the dreaded ham holiday), but I hear her Thanksgiving mantra as I...

A little Fairytale gourmet brownie love helped brighten friend's day

This is our final week of customer stories submitted as part of our 20th Anniversary Celebration. This week's story was submitted by Crystal Temple-Owens of Las Vegas:

"One day I was reading Facebook and saw that one of my friends was having a tough time. Her husband had just had surgery, she had job issues and had to take care of her two boys.

My first thought was: What would I do to brighten up her day?

The answer was to send Fairytale Brownies her way!

Years ago, the company I used to work for...
