I have a journalism background so I'm naturally "nosy." I make it a point to know as much as I can about all things Fairytale Brownies, so if you have any questions, just ask!
April 15 is quickly approaching. Have you filed your taxes?
If you're like me, you wait until the last possible minute and then rely on a talented tax accountant to make sense of the chaos.
My taxes are complete and filed. All that's left to do is thank my accountant with gourmet brownies from Fairytale Brownies. Yes, I paid him for his services already. But sending brownies will be a surprise that I'm sure he'll love receiving - especially since this last two weeks before deadline will most likely be spent working long hours. A sweet treat from Fairytale will be a welcome distraction - even if it's only for the time needed to eat the fudge brownie.
Our brownie, cookie and bar gifts are a great way to say thank you to those who go above and beyond expectations. The receiver definitely will know they're appreciated.

No one knows the exact origin of April Fool's Day. Some say it's a celebration of Spring and a reason to be lighthearted. Others say April 1 was the celebration of New Year's Day prior to the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar. Whatever its history, April Fool's Day is a day to play silly, foolish tricks on anyone and everyone.
Our Fairytale Brownie is somewhat of a jokester, so I asked him what kinds of tricks he would play if he was allowed to do so. This is what he said:
1. To my cousin who claims I never think of him: I would send an empty box that should have been filled with 12 gourmet brownies (a Fairytale Dozen). My message would read: Traded thoughts of you for brownies. Enjoy your box of THOUGHTS. I enjoyed the treats! Love, Brownie
2. To my sister who is easy to annoy: I will ship brownies that have a bite taken out of each one. My message would read: I tested these fudge brownies to make sure they are fresh. They are! Love, Brother Brownie
3. To my Mom who LOVES...Read More »
Two years ago, Fairytale Brownies team members, along with 200 other community volunteers, built a playground for the students attending Children First Academy of Tempe. It took us 10 months to raise $80,000 and just one day provide a safe place for them to play.
We felt such joy when the playground was complete! Knowing that the children came from homeless and underprivileged homes made our accomplishment even sweeter.
On Wednesday, March 20, Arizonans will have the opportunity to give to their favorite nonprofits as part of Arizona Gives Day, and make a difference in the community.
Arizona Gives Day is a one-day (24-hour) statewide, online movement. Donations can be made starting at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday on www.azgives.org.
Simply find the Arizona nonprofit you would like to donate to and click the green "Donate" button on the right side of the organization's page.
I believe all children should have the opportunity to play, laugh and act like the little kids that they are. Because I'm...Read More »

We often send brownies to bloggers who wish to review our scrumptious brownie gifts. Some of these bloggers go way above and beyond our expectations after they've become Fairytale Brownies fans. Danielle with www.hugsandcookiesxoxo.com is one such blogger. We asked Danielle to create a fudgy chocolate brownie dessert using whatever flavor she preferred, and she chose Caramel (I believe that was her favorite!).
The following is her creation, Salted Caramel Brownie Trifle, I can't wait to try the recipe!

Chances are, if you've ever been inside our store at the Fairytale Brownies bakery, you've dropped a business card into our fish bowl for a chance to win a Fairytale Dozen. This month, your chances of winning are pretty good because there are only SIX entries in the bowl!
The sign says that those who put their card into the bowl not only will be entered in the monthly drawing, but they will be added to our mailing list for catalogs and email specials. This doesn't mean that you only can enter once. Each time you come into the bakery, you are allowed to drop a card in the bowl. Of course, we only put your name on our mailing list one time, so don't worry about receiving a zillion catalogs or emails if you enter more than once.
When you win, we will notify you via phone or email to schedule a pick up. If you are visiting from another state (not Arizona), we will ship the fudgy chocolate brownies to you.
While visiting the bakery, you might want to watch the bakers through our viewing...Read More »
Researchers have been telling us for years that dark chocolate is good for us. As a chocolate lover, I don't need to be convinced of the benefits, but based on what I've read, I've come to the conclusion that eating one Fairytale brownie a day is actually good for me.
Consider this: Each Fairytale brownie is baked with Belgian dark chocolate - 100% dark cocoa.
1. Dark chocolate is good for the heart. Studies show that a 3.5 oz dark chocolate bar eaten every day by people who have high blood pressure can lower that blood pressure and reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol. Although I don't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, if I've done the math correctly, that means I could enjoy one Fairytale Brownies Chocolate Chip fudge brownie (210 calories for a 3" x 1.5" Sprite) a day. I WILL have to shave a couple hundred calories from my diet, however...
2. Dark chocolate is an anti-depressant. Dark chocolate contains serotonin and stimulates pleasure endorphins. Combine the serotonin and the...Read More »
This may sound a little wierd, but I love the design of our new Get Well Soon gift band so much that I can't wait for someone I know to be sick so I can send out a gift!
Luckily, I won't have to wait too long. My husband is having surgery today and this cheery box of Belgian chocolate brownies will be waiting for him when he gets home. I believe he'll definitely mend quicker between eating gourmet brownies and having his lovely wife tending to his needs.
The new band features a brilliant sun beaming its rays throughout the Fairytale forest of flowers. We all know that sunshine always makes people happy (unless you live in Arizona, it's August and you're stuck on the I10... but that's a different story).
The Get Well Soon gift band fits on all of our classic gift boxes, and a smaller version of the band fits our purple treasure boxes as well.

Valentine's Day is two weeks away. If you're a parent of a young adult who is away at college, you might be thinking about sending a treat his or her way.
Sending fudgy chocolate brownies from Fairytale Brownies is a sweet way to express your love. Our Valentine Morsel Dozen (pictured at right) arrives with your Valentine wishes surrounding a beautiful purple box. The gift includes two each of Original, Chocolate Chip, Caramel, Cream Cheese, Raspberry Swirl and Walnut fudgy chocolate brownie flavors. The treats are individually wrapped (perfect for sharing with a roommate or friend), and once emptied, the purple box can be used for all sorts of college student treasures. One of my sons puts his laundry money in the box. Another son uses his box for more random items like student ID, pens, change, etc.
Of course, our brownie, cookie and bar gifts make great presents for other loved ones on your Valentine's Day GIft, so don't limit your gifting to just the students in your life. We have a...Read More »
