It was a sea of green at the Fairytale Brownies bakery today. Not only did we wear green, we held a guacamole contest - which of course, is green!
But before we ate our guacamole, we had to work up our appetites with a treasure hunt. This morning, our brownie guy (today he is a leprechaun) hid a dozen pots of gold throughout our bakery. Each team member was given 12 clues to find each of them.
Here is an example of one of the clues: Decisions, decisions, but no need to be stressed. Comfort is key so you'll pass the test. You may get thirsty if you stay too long, so bring a beverage, and you won't go wrong. Make sure you use a coaster, please. Where am I?
The answer is the conference room.
Our winners got to keep their pots of gold and a few of them scored a bonus prize of a gift card because their pots were filled with PURPLE coins. We all know that the Fairytale Brownies guy is partial to the color purple.
Then it was time for the guacamole contest and who were our first taste testers? Cindy and Tennille! I made them pose before sampling the green deliciousness.
We had six official entries. I must say that ALL of them were pretty tasty. The varieties included corn, cumin, cranberries, green onion, jalapenos, tomatoes and other secret herbs and spices. Garlic was not a secret after we all sampled...
The winning entry belonged to Operations Team Leader Kim Silva. She said she added the roasted corn at the last minute to give it texture. That last-minute touch did the trick. Congratulations, Kim! Thank you to all of the team members who brought in their guac. We enjoyed sampling.
There's still a bunch of guacamole left. I wonder what fudge brownies would taste like with little dabs of guacamole on them. A little spicy, a little sweet. Hmmm...
