Okay, I will admit I'm getting older but, how many people can
say they have had a best friend
for 50 years? Well, I can! My BFF Maureen, who lives in Ohio
is visiting me for one glorious week! She is leaving the snow &
cold behind for some warmer weather, sunshine, and
quality girl time! Over the past 38 years, we
have traveled to California, Ohio, Georgia, and Arizona to
spend time together and have seen each other through the good,
the bad, and the ugly!
This next week will be filled with...
Include Fairytale Brownies on your Super Bowl dessert menu
Wednesday, January 25, 2012 by
Alyssa Andrews
In
2008, Arizona was preparing for Super Bowl XLII to be played in
Glendale. The undefeated New England
Patriots were playing the wild card New York
Giants. The big game may not be in Arizona this year (2015), but because the same two teams will be playing, I thought our football-playing Brownie Guy would help us get in the Super Bowl mood.
Fairytale Brownies was part of the media celebration held at Corona Ranch in Laveen a few days before the 2008 game.
We created a couple of football field...Read More » »
Sesame Street Belgian Chocolate Brownie Pops!
Tuesday, January 24, 2012 by
Kari Gayes

I can hardly believe it, but my daughter's first birthday is coming up quickly (Feb. 10), and I've been consumed with Sesame Street party planning lately. I love to create, so the plan is to make a dessert buffet myself. A small cake for Katharine to dig into, cookies, cupcakes and brownie pops made from the best brownies I know! Cake pops are all the rage right now, but mixing crumbled cake with icing is a messy proposition. The other day, I got a great idea to use gourmet chocolate Fairytale B... Read More » »
Batter Up! I'm not just talking Belgian Chocolate Brownies!

Janet O'Leary
Brownie batter, baseball chatter, does it really matter? Both
are sweet to my ears... Cactus League Baseball; that's all I'm
saying. For those that know me, know that I am all things baseball,
and a huge fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks! I have been
counting the days since the last game in 2011. I have to
admit, (should I admit??) I watched 160 baseball games last
year! Needless to say, I am excited about spring
training which starts in 6 weeks. I am proud to announce I have my
spring training...Read More » »

Well, it's that time of year when we have just finished the
holidays and we can start looking forward to the next season
at Fairytale
Brownies. We plan all year long and it seems to just come
and go so fast, I can hardly believe it. We had a great 2011
holiday season - we shipped thousands of gourmet
brownie, cookie and truffle gifts all over
the world, so we're really looking forward to 2012. . . .
which means working on new products, of course!
In 2012 we'll be working on a new line of bars,...Read More » »

Surprise them with Belgian Chocolate Brownies!
Thursday, January 12, 2012 by
Janet O'Leary

Surprise! I'm going to a surprise birthday party this weekend for a dear friend and yes, I will bring along Fairytale Truffles, Fairytale Cookies, and Fairytale Brownies! My friend is a huge lover of all things chocolate and after she received a box of Fairytale Truffles from me for Christmas, it was love at first bite! We both grew up in the same small town in Ohio where birthdays were a big deal so it only seemed fitting to give her more of what she loves best on her special day! Of course I...Read More » »
Fudgy Brownies - Movie Night Treats!
Wednesday, January 4, 2012 by
Kari Gayes

Every year, my husband and I host a party on the night of the Academy Awards. It's a big to-do, complete with a red carpet, Oscar bingo, guessing the winners, our friends all decked out in evening wear and lots and lots of food. I always try to find a way to use Fairytale Brownies in at least one dessert that fits the movie night theme.
We always serve popcorn, so this year, I think I'm going to make these gourmet brownie popcorn bags. I found the idea at bakerella.com, which is a wealth of...Read More » »
Promote world peace with Fairytale Brownies

Seventy years ago today, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and
declared war on the United States.
Although that horrific day still lives in infamy, I can't help but
wonder what would have happened if Japanese officials had eaten a
gourmet brownie from Fairytale Brownies at their bomb
dropping planning meeting. One bite of our fudgy confections
and all ill feelings towards the U.S. would have melted
away!
Yes, I DO live in fairytaleland.
But wouldn't it be great if we could eliminate all bad...Read More » »

The Holidays are Here!
Monday, November 28, 2011 by
Kari Gayes
I can't believe December will be here by the end of the
week! At Fairytale Brownies, that means our busy season
is officially underway! Last Friday, we spent the day decorating
our retail store for the holidays. If you didn't know, our retail
store is right here at the Fairytale Bakery, and it has viewing windows so
visitors can watch our baking team make gourmet cookies and fudgy
chocolate brownies. We get pretty busy with our local Phoenix food
gift buyers during the holidays, so we like to...Read More » »
A new holiday tradition, Fairytale Brownies Pecan Brownie Pie
Wednesday, November 23, 2011 by
Kim Silva
In my family we cherish traditions, especially at the
holidays. A few years ago I started to treat guests at our
traditional holiday meals to Fairytale Brownies for
dessert. We have various pies with all the fixings, but
I wanted to do a spin on a fudgy chocolate pecan pie - which our
family loves. I also wanted to keep it simple since there are
so many other treats to enjoy for the holidays, not to mention
the prep-work and cleanup that goes along with them. So, I
took some pecan Fairytale...Read More » »
