My final Brownie Blog

Thursday, March 4, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
I am sad to say this will be my final blog as a team member of Fairytale Brownies. Although I won't be here physically I will forever spread the brownie love, obviously I have become a huge fan of our gourmet brownies over the years. While I am excited to explore new ventures I will miss the smell of a fresh baked fudge brownies when I come to work each morning. I will be frequently reading the brownie blog to stay updated on the behind the scenes happenings at the Fairytale bakery. It has been a great 5 years, Fairytale Brownies is not only the best brownie company but an awesome company to work for. Thank you to all of my customers, co-workers and the many friends I have made over the years. It's been a very sweet experience but now it's time to go... Goodbye!

Random March Holidays

Friday, February 26, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
In March we have the traditional holidays such as, St. Patrick's Day, Palm Sunday and Passover. Well there are some really fun holidays that you might not even know existed!

March is Employee Spirit Month
- Sometimes keeping your employee's spirit positive can be a challenge. A great way to boost their mood, spirit and maybe even production is to buy brownies for your office. Imagine the surprise when a delivery arrives and it's for your employee's. They open it and inside is a gourmet chocolate gift from the best brownie company! That would definitely improve my spirit!

March 15th - 21st is American Chocolate Week
- I never knew there was an entire week dedicated to chocolate!

March 19th is National Chocolate Caramel Day - Our gourmet brownies come in 12 different flavors and caramel happens to be one of my favorites. Last year when we introduced our version of a truffle, a dark chocolate enrobed fudge brownie in caramel I was in awe. Celebrating this day will be a very easy and enjoyable thing for me to do! I am going to place my order now!

March 25th is Pecan Day - Another flavor that our delicious brownies come in is Pecan. Since Pecans have their very own holiday this brownie is pretty special. My Grandfather is a big fan of this brownie so I think I will send brownies, all pecan, to arrive around the 25th. It's a very random holiday but I think it will put a smile on his face!

Hope everyone has a happy March!

Fairytale Brownies Blog

Friday, February 19, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
Thank you very much to everyone who takes the time to read the Fairytale Brownies blog! We recently had a meeting to discuss how we can make our blog more interesting and draw more readers to it. We have a team of 9 bloggers and I think we came up with some pretty good ideas. After our meeting I got to thinking and realized what better way to find out what you want to read but to ask you! So, what is it you like to hear about? Obviously our gourmet brownies, but what else? Would you like to see more behind the scenes posts from the Fairytale bakery? Would you like more ideas on what to buy brownies for? More brownie recipes? We would love to hear any ideas you might have!

Brownies: A great runners snack?

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 by Brandie Davenport

Kari in our Marketing Department got the email below from her cousin Matt:

Hey there!
So your brownies are my new pre-run meal! I ate one just to get something in me before I ran 12 miles yesterday and I felt great during the run! So I came home and looked on the wrapper and you it's pretty great for workouts - the carbs, sodium, etc... are good! I am going to order some online.

Wow! I had no idea! I mean I knew our fudge brownies were tasty but had no clue they would help a runner have a great run. Thanks Kari and Matt for sharing this with us. Happy running!

Last minute Birthday Brownies!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
This weekend was a crazy weekend for me, I moved. For the past couple weeks that has been the only thing on my mind... boxes, packing, renting a moving truck, transferring utilities and all the other annoying things that come with moving. I got to work yesterday morning and looked at my calendar... dang it! Wednesday is my little sisters birthday! I was at the store a dozen times this weekend and didn't even get her a card! For about 10 minutes I sat here thinking about what a horrible sister I was. She lives in Illinois so there is no way a card will get to her in time now! My mind started racing about what I could order to get to her by Wednesday and then it hit me... buy Brownies! I don't know why I forgot about the awesome Birthday Celebration gift we have! It comes with 18 delightfully rich, snack-size Fairytale Sprites, a fluffy Brownie Bear, a KaBOOM! kazoo, 4 Fairytale purple balloons, 12 message candles, a classic Pin the Tail on the Donkey game and a birthday button all wrapped in a box with a Happy Birthday band! Since I can't celebrate with my sister on her birthday I sent the celebration to her! I'm pretty sure her birthday will become a little happier when she opens the box to find all these goodies and our delicious gourmet brownies inside!

A Fairytale Birthday!

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
Monday was our graphic designer Erin's birthday. She took Monday off to enjoy a nice relaxing day so we celebrated today. We ordered in lunch from one of her favorite places, Dilly's Deli. It was delicious! She didn't want us to sing to her but we did anyway! :) Happy Birthday Erin!

Wacky February Holidays

February has a lot more happenings than just Valentine's Day!

February is Bake for Family Fun Month - If baking just isn't your thing, order a dozen original brownies online and decorate them with your family. If baking is your thing we have a ton of brownie recipes!
February is National Cherry Month - Yummm, a cherry Fairytale Brownie would be delicious!

February 8th - 14th is International Flirting Week - Sending your love interest a box of fudgy chocolate brownies would be quite a nice way to flirt with them!
February 12th - 15th is Random Acts of Kindness - A gourmet chocolate gift would be an awesome random act of kindness!

February 5th is World Nutella Day - I am not a Nutella fan but for those that are try spreading it on one of our yummy brownies!
February 19th is Chocolate Mint Day - Our delicious mint brownie has a day all to itself!

Hope everyone has a wonderful February!

PPAI Expo 2010

Thursday, January 28, 2010 by Brandie Davenport
Well Kristie and I are back from Vegas. We decided to stay for a extra week or so. Just kidding! We have been back for a while but have been working very hard to get all the catalogs out that were requested. We talked to over 600 people, sampled over 1000 of our delicious fudge brownies and sent out over 1200 catalogs! Here are some pictures we took at the show...

Here is what our booth looked like when we first got there.

And this is what it looked like when we were done working our magic.

We had a spot on our table dedicated to our Valentine brownie gifts.

This is our display in the New Products Pavilion. We featured our newest custom logo corporate gift item, custom label brownies. They were a hit!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the show a sweet success for us!

It's PPAI Expo time!

Kristie and I are off to Las Vegas again for the 2010 PPAI Expo at the Mandalay Bay convention center. We will be back in the office on Monday the 18th. If you are attending the show make sure you stop by our booth #5505. We will have our yummy gourmet brownies to sample and samples of all of our custom corporate gifts! I will be sure to take pics to post when we get back. Hope everyone has a great week!

Welcome 2010!

Thursday, January 7, 2010 by Brandie Davenport

It's a new year so I figured I better get back into the habit of blogging again! December was a crazy busy month for us so I got a little distracted. I am back now to blog about anything and everything to do with Fairytale Brownies!

It's already the 7th of January but there are still lots of wacky ways to celebrate the month!

January is Celebration of Life Month
- I like this one. Every month should be a celebration of life!
January is Hot Tea Month - We have been told on several occasions that our fudge brownies go every well with a hot steamy cup of tea.

January 17th - 23rd is Hunt for Happiness Week - You came to the right place! Since you are on our website you have to hunt no more, order brownies and your happiness will arrive in about 3 business days!

January 19th is Rid the World of Fad Diets and Gimmicks Day - I like this one a lot too. Even if it's just for the day I am going to celebrate this one by having a chocolate brownie for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
January 29th is Fun at Work Day - Everyday is a fun day at the Fairytale Bakery. If your office needs some fun having a box of gourmet brownies delivered will do the trick!

Hope everyone's year is off to a great start! I have a very good feeling that 2010 is going to be a Fairytale year!

And the lucky winner is...

Congratulations to Phil M. from Baltimore, MD for winning our Fairytale Brownies in the snow contest. We had three entries, two of which were very creative! Phil's brownie was in the actual snow so he is the winner of our delicious Winter Winterland brownie gift! Arizona and other non-snow state brownie fans please stay tuned for other contests!

Fairytale Brownies in the snow CONTEST!

Friday, December 11, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
I know there are many places across the country that have gotten snow and I want to see, since we never do in Phoenix! The first person to post a picture of a wrapped Fairytale Brownie, Sprite or Magic Morsel in the snow will win a Winter Wonderland! Go to our What's Your Brownie Story page, upload your picture, tell us who your brownie came from and how much snow you've gotten. The first person will win and I will randomly draw for a second winner from all the other entries. Can't wait to see all your pictures! Let it snow!

A friend for life...

Thursday, December 10, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
I have blogged about my friends, The Albrecht family before but this blog is very special to me. It all started with a box of brownies. I heard about Kevin and his family from an email that come into our service line here at Fairytale Brownies. I sent him brownies several times while he was deployed overseas and sent brownies to his wife Nadine and their three boys. I never in a million years thought that such a deep friendship would be formed from such a simple gesture. Kevin is now back safely enjoying the holidays with his family. Kevin and Nadine are stationed in Missouri and I keep in touch with them via facebook. A few days ago I got a surprise in the mail. Below is a picture of what the Albrecht Squad sent me. I have never been so touched by a gift before. When I opened it I really didn't know how to react. The card had the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me in it. They are truly amazing people and I am so happy that a soldier care package has made me a part of their lives. I will wear this Army hat and shirt with more pride than I will ever be able to express. HOOAH!

Another Fairytale Birthday!

Wednesday, December 9, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
Today is Kristie's birthday! She is our Corporate Sales Assistant. Unfortunately since her birthday falls during our busiest time we aren't able to take her to lunch today like we usually do. Instead we decorated her desk! :) She will enjoying a delicious fudge Fairytale Brownie in place of a cake. Yummy!

Here is a behind the scenes peak at Kristie's crazy birthday decorations

Happy Birthday! :)

Secret Santa

Tuesday, December 8, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
This morning the Marketing Team here at Fairytale Brownies exchanged names for our Secret Santa gift exchange. We all wrote down three things we like on a piece of paper, put them in a hat and took turns picking. It's so exciting to start thinking about what special gift you are going to pick out for the person you chose. We set the spending limit at $20 so I am very excited to see what I can find! This got me thinking what an awesome Secret Santa gift Fairytale Brownies would make! Under $20 we have at least 7 different gifts to choose from! My favorite gift under $20 is our Magic Morsel Dozen. This gift is one dozen of our perfectly portioned bite-size Magic Morsels. It includes 3 each of Original, Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Walnut flavors in a beautiful purple box with silver lining. I think a box of fudge brownies would make someone very happy!

A few important days to remember in December

Friday, December 4, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
The major holidays in December are pretty obvious we have Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years Eve. But did you know that there are many other important days in December? The 16th is National Chocolate-covered Anything Day! The 26th is National Candy Cane Day! And the 28th and 29th are National Chocolate Day! Whoa, those are a lot of days I will be remembering! So not only do gourmet Fairytale Brownies make great gifts for the obvious holidays but for gifts throughout the whole month! Why not send someone a box of our Fairytale Truffles for National Chocolate-covered Anything Day? We even have new Candy Cane Truffles that would make the perfect surprise on someones doorstep on National Candy Cane Day! And what better way to celebrate National Chocolate Day than indulging in a delicious chocolate Fairytale Brownie! Hope every one has a chocolately December!

It officially feels like the holidays!

Thursday, December 3, 2009 by Brandie Davenport
Even though my tree and decorations have been up since last weekend yesterday was the first day that it officially felt the holidays to me. Why you ask? Well yesterday was the first day I put in 15 hours! That isn't at all unheard of around here during this time of the year. We love our customers and do everything we have to do to make sure your holiday brownie gifts are taken care of in the best way possible, even if that means being here until all hours of the night! It can get a little wacky when the delirum sets in but it makes for an entertaining evening. Last night Kristie and I cranked up the holiday music and sang along while we worked. I'm sure there will be many more nights like last night and we love every minute of it!
