Brandie's Brownie Buzz

My Mom, Tammy, and the ladies she works with at Cole's Styling Salon in Aurora, IL have been sending soldier care packages for a few years now.  My Mom is usually in charge of collecting donations from all the ladies, going to the store to buy what they want to send and taking it to the post office to be mailed off.  Each time I am able to go home to visit I make sure to take some extra brownies to be included in the next shipment to go out.  It usually takes about two weeks and then they get a thank you in the mail from the soldiers.  The thank yous don't usually say anything about all the stuff my Mom went and bought at the store, they just go on and on about how good the brownies were!  They have said things like,  those were the best brownies I have ever had!  And please send more of those little pieces of heaven! :) So, the ladies have all decided that since the soldiers love the brownies more than anything, from now on they are just going to send a huge box of brownies!  With free shipping to APO and PPO addresses it makes it a very affordable treat!  The first gift went out yesterday to Chad P. stationed in Afghanistan.  The gift they decided on is our Patriotic Magic Morsels. They are mini brownies that the ladies are hoping the soldiers will be able to put in their pockets for a little afternoon snack!
