Holiday brownies already?! Tell us what you want!

Tuesday, March 16, 2010 by Kari Gayes

Most people don't think much about the December holidays until at least Thanksgiving, or even until December actually rolls around. Not so here at Fairytale Brownies. We started talking about our 2010 Holiday product line and catalogs in January. It's a little overwhelming at times, but we constantly think about what our customers will want when they order brownies for the holidays.

This is a big part of my job as our marketing coordinator. We have to think about which fudge brownies (and now cookies!) our customers will love as well as what kinds of packaging you look for when you buy brownie gifts.

We've been talking about a lot of ideas for the last couple of months, and I'm curious what you think. Share your ideas for us in the comments section below, no matter how crazy you think they might be. If we decide to use your idea, I'll send you a thank you brownie gift to show our appreciation for your help.

Put your thinking caps on and tell us what you want!

I would love peppermint truffle brownies - brownies with peppermint stick chips in them - anything peppermint actually. But peppermint stick brownies would be delicious with a layer of peppermint fudge! Yum!

I make Rocky Road brownies which are always a hit (chocolate morsels, mini marshmallows, nuts and sometimes I add small caramel pieces). I know it would be a little wasteful, but what about brownie eggs? You could cut them out in egg shapes... maybe ship a pan of brownies with a cookie cutter and a couple of types of frosting, some sprinkles or candied sugar so people could cut and decorate their own brownies?

I think cinnimon is perfect to warm us up during the holidays! Some brownies with cinnimon chips would be yummy! Or maybe a turtle kind...caramel and nuts =] Also...it would be pretty awesome if for every purchase (or certain dollar amount purchased) you sent a box of brownies to our troops over seas! They need some brownie-holiday-lovin', too!

How about red and green sprinkles on the brownies? Or red and green frosting/icing over top of the brownies? Maybe, you could have a brownie cookie that comes in shapes of typical sugar cookies for the holidays? I think that would be cute!

The 2 lbs pan brownies were quite a hit at our family get together Christmas. Any plans to bring them back?

Debra, we do have Candy Cane Truffles for the holidays that are similar to what you're describing. They are peppermint brownies covered in dark chocolate and topped with crushed candy cane pieces. Lindsay, we are working on cookies for the fall. Not in holiday shapes, but be on the lookout for Fairytale Cookies. We're hoping to have 4 flavors ready to go in September. Jack, we are bringing back the 2 lb. trays. I'm glad to hear your family liked them. I'll try to remember to post here when they're available again. Thanks everyone for your great ideas! We won't finalize our new products until the summer, but I will definitely be in touch if we use your ideas.

I would love to see a Peppermint Brownie, as opposed to the Candy Cane Truffle, same concept, just in the form of one of your fabulous brownies topped with candy cane pieces. I would also love to see a Turtle Brownie with caramel and pecans, and maybe even a Coconut Brownie with shredded cocunut on top.
