We've talked about our efforts to build a KaBOOM! playground in Phoenix before, but I want to let you know first about some really cool events we have coming up later this month. There will be several opportunities for people in the Phoenix area to enjoy some of the best brownies and cookies around while helping us raise money toward building the playground.

The week of Sept. 24 brings many events at the Fairytale Brownies bakery and retail store. Throughout the week, there will be raffles and balloon pop games in our store with fudgy brownies and delicious cookies as prizes for those who donate to the cause. We are also having an Open House on Thursday, Sept. 30 with more raffles, sampling of new flavors of Fairytale Truffles chocolate-covered mini brownies, our new Fairytale Cookies, and many of our other goodies. We'll also have a change truck here to collect loose change, so bring down all those coins you have around the house and put them to good use.

If you aren't in Phoenix, you can still help. From Wednesday, Sept. 29 through Friday, Oct. 1 a percent of our mail order brownie web sales will be donated to the playground build. AND you can always add a donation to KaBOOM! when you buy brownies online, so please consider helping!
