Before I came back to Fairytale Brownies from maternity leave last week, my husband and I took our daughter "home" to Indiana to meet some friends and family.
One important stop for us was our alma mater, Ball State University, where we met 10 years ago and got married (our wedding was at Benny, a beloved campus landmark - pictured at left) four years ago. We wanted to see the many changes on campus while taking our baby girl on her first visit to a place that means so much to us.
Kelly in the University Development office set us up with a great tour of the building that houses the college from which we both graduated as well as a new student recreation center that I got to help plan as a student government executive.
I thought it appropriate to take her a thank you gift of Belgian chocolate brownies and gourmet cookies to let her know we appreciated the time she spent with us. Now that we're home, I am also sending some mail order brownies and cookies to be delivered to the associate dean of the College of Communication, Information and Media, who gave us a very informative tour of the new Letterman Building. It was a great trip, and we very much enjoyed our visit back to Ball State's campus. And, as you can see on the right, our daughter did very well on her first plane trip!
Now that I'm back in brownie land, I'll be back on the blog regularly. I am excited to dive in to working on all the great new brownie and cookie gifts we are preparing for the fall! If you aren't yet on our catalog mailing list or email specials list and want to be among the first to see what's new, sign up here to join.
