Another Magic Morsel for Fairytale Brownies!

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 by Janet O'Leary

Baby AndresSay hello to Andres! He is the newest little "magic morsel" to be born into the Fairytale Brownies family! Baking team member, Maria Vega recently gave birth to a happy, healthy 5.5 pound baby boy! If my math serves me right, Andres is the 6th baby born into the FTB family this year and we still have one more coming before year end! Something in the water? Not sure, but babies are being born almost monthly around here and we love it!

These babies could be the next generation of Fairytale...

Sweet Thank You Gifts for a Bittersweet Day

Tuesday, September 13, 2011 by Kari Gayes
thank-you-morsel-dozenFriday is going to be a bittersweet day for our family. After four months at a great daycare, we are taking our daughter out to save some money and get her more individual attention by sharing a nanny with friends (Fairytale Brownies graphic designer Erin, who is returning from maternity leave Monday). While the savings and 2-to-1 baby to caregiver ratio will be great for our daughter Kat, we have loved the daycare she is attending. I know we've made the right decision for our family, but it was...Read More » »

Best Brownies For Road Trip Snacking!

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 by Kari Gayes
magic morselsMy husband and I are heading out on our first road trip with our 6.5 month old daughter on Thursday. We'll be driving at least 7 hours to California to visit friends for the long weekend, and for us, road trips mean snacks. Our staples are beef jerky, fruit and, of course, fudgy chocolate brownies. I've been working here at Fairytale Brownies for 5 years, so our Belgian chocolate brownies have become a frequent snack. We especially like to take Magic Morsels mini brownies on the road with us, as...Read More » »

Brownies and Babies - A Great Combination!

Tuesday, July 12, 2011 by Kari Gayes
bebe+jamesWe seem to be having a bit of a baby boom here at Fairytale Brownies. My little girl Katharine is 5 months old, our graphic designer Erin's son James is 2 weeks old (that's him in the picture with Eileen's daughter Bebe, who just happened to be here when he came to visit last week - so cute!), and two members of our baking and shipping teams are expecting their own bundles of joy before the year ends.

Of the many things I've learned so far about being a working (and nursing) mom, it's that...Read More » »

Gourmet Brownies make the perfect "Welcome Baby" Gift!

Tuesday, June 21, 2011 by Janet O'Leary
There must be something in the water because babies are being born like crazy these days! Babies, babies, everywhere! Babies are being born at Fairytale Brownies almost monthly, and the first of three babies to be born into my family this summer was Aiden Michael, first child to my niece Kristen; a whopping 9 lbs. 8 ounces and 23.5" inches long!
Aiden
That makes me a Great Aunt, and I couldn't be happier! It takes a lot of work to give birth to a baby that size so I treated Kristen and Daddy to some Be... Read More » »

Five Fairytale Years!

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 by Kari Gayes
kari@motivationshow2006Today is my Fairytale-iversary! :) That's right, I've been on the marketing team at Fairytale Brownies developing and selling gourmet brownie gifts for five years now. I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone. So, this morning I'm thinking about all that has transpired since I first walked into the Fairytale Bakery in 2006. The picture at left is from a trade show I attended just a couple of months after I started working here.

kari@kaboom2011When I started, our current building was under construction,...Read More » »

Fairytale's Sprites make delicious baby shower favors

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 by Alyssa Andrews
We have a guest blogger this week; Holly Pringle, Fairytale Brownies' Wholesale Team Member!

"I recently had the honor of hosting a baby shower for my daughter-in-law and son.  They are having their first baby and our first grandbaby! It was a co-ed baby shower since my son and daughter-in-law live in another state. It also was an opportunity for them to see friends and family.

Because both men and women would be attending the party, I had a difficult time coming up with an idea for shower favors....

Thank You Brownies to My Alma Mater!

Tuesday, May 17, 2011 by Kari Gayes
Before I came back to Fairytale Brownies from maternity leave last week, my husband and I took our daughter "home" to Indiana to meet some friends and family. kari_wedding

One important stop for us was our alma mater, Ball State University, where we met 10 years ago and got married (our wedding was at Benny, a beloved campus landmark - pictured at left) four years ago. We wanted to see the many changes on campus while taking our baby girl on her first visit to a place that means so much to us.

Volunteers have a Fairytale Day building a playground for Children First Academy

Monday, May 2, 2011 by Alyssa Andrews

AllThe giant purple carpet covering the grounds at Children First Academy of Tempe on Friday wasn't your average berber.

This carpet was made from 200 purple t-shirt-clad volunteers that arrived at "O dark 30" to build a playground.

What an awesome group of volunteers! Together, we moved 175 cubic yards of wood chips; mixed 8 pallets of cement; built two slides, a tire swing, bounce buttons, a geodome, a climbing wall, two tether ball posts, a prehistoric basketball hoop, and two deck landings; also...
