Bake Chocolate Mint Brownies, or buy online!

St. Patrick's Day is around the corner so it's time to start thinking green . . . and minty!

Personally, I am a huge fan of the chocolate and mint flavor combination; these two flavors baked together in brownie form is simply divine. So, I went on the hunt for the most mouthwatering Chocolate Mint Brownie recipe I could find (to satisfy those home bakers), and boy did I luck out. Think York Peppermint Patty combined with fudgy chocolate brownie batter. Hello delicious.

With repost permission, here is a Chocolate Mint Brownie recipe I found from The Brown Eyed Baker for you to enjoy. Photo credit: The Brown Eyed Baker. Recipe used with permission from The Brown Eyed Baker.

Belgian chocolate brownie gifts for March Madness

March Madness is upon us! In honor of one of our favorite sporting events, we thought it’d be fun to introduce you to some of college basketball’s tastiest mascots. Alas, we scoured the Internet and came up a little shy. belgian chocolate brownie gift

There’s the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. The slugs probably aren’t tasty, but we like bananas. There’s the Penn Quakers. Again, we wouldn’t eat a Quaker, but we do enjoy oatmeal. And there’s the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, who could probably cook up a mean plate of jambalaya.

Since college basketball isn’t offering up the goods, here are a few tasty brownie gifts for your March Madness party.

  • Fairytale Dozen: From cool Mint Chocolate to crunchy Pecan, this delicious brownie gift includes every magical flavor and comes hand packed in a classic gift box, wrapped in our signature purple band.
  • Regal Tower: Wow your friends and loved ones with this impressive four-box tower filled with three sizes of Belgian chocolate brownies, chewy Fairytale Cookies and buttery...

Gourmet gift baskets with a lemon zest

If you live in Arizona like us, you know that spring time is citrus time. Maybe that’s why someone decided that March 29 should be National Lemon Chiffon Day. lemon blondie gourmet gift

At Fairytale Brownies, we don’t do lemon chiffon. But we do bake delicious Lemon Blondies. These treats combine a touch of tart and a bite of sweet and are topped with lemony icing for pure enjoyment. You can send Lemon Blondies as a single-flavor gourmet gift or in a mixed gift basket with other bar flavors.

In honor of national lemon chiffon cake day and courtesy of Sunkist, here are a few fun facts about lemons:

  • Although lemon cultivation started in the Mediterranean in the first century A.D., 95 percent of all lemons in the U.S. are grown in California and Arizona.
  • Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is known to ward off scurvy. As a result, lemons have spread through history thanks to the British navy, California gold miners (namesakes for the San Francisco 49ers), and more.
  • You probably won’t ever get scurvy. But you’ll almost...

Fudgy chocolate brownies or pie? You decide

Excuse us for getting a little nerdy here, but today is Pi Day. Get it? It’s March 14th. That’s 3/14. And the numeric version of pi is 3.14159 … You get the idea. fudgy chocolate brownies

At Fairytale Brownies, we don’t do pie. We do fudgy chocolate brownies and gourmet cookies. And they are delicious. But, hey, we know there’s room for pie too, especially on Pi Day.

In a 2012 survey of 14,000 Americans, NPR found that our nation’s most popular pie is good old fashioned apple pie. That’s probably not surprising if you’re familiar with the saying, “It’s as American as apple pie.”

Seventeen percent of respondents listed apple as their favorite. Surprisingly, strawberry rhubarb came in second at 16 percent. Apple and strawberry rhubarb were followed in order by pumpkin (14 percent), cherry (11 percent), and blueberry (8 percent). Popular also-rans included pecan, peach, and key lime.

We don’t have beef with pie, whether it’s an American standard like apple pie or something a little strange like strawberry rhubarb.

But...
