That’s right. The FTC has a bone to pick with Allstar Marketing Group, the marketer behind Perfect Brownie Pans and other as-seen-on-TV products like the Snuggie and Magic Mesh door covers.
Last month, according to an article in Consumerist, AMG agreed to pay $7.5 million to the FTC and $500,000 to the New York Attorney General’s Office. The agreement came after AMG allegedly duped buyers with buy-one-get-one free offers that included oversized shipping and handling fees.
