A Fairytale Brownies Birthday Wish for Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss, brownie, birthdayHappy 112th birthday, to my favorite author from childhood, Dr. Seuss!

Although Theodor Seuss Geisel passed away in 1991, his books remain a part of children's lives today. I don't think there is an adult alive who doesn't smile when thinking about the Cat in the Hat, Horton, or the Grinch,  Here's a Fairytale birthday wish dedicated Dr. Seuss (never as good as the master, of course!).

If I had Dr. Seuss' address, I'd send him a gourmet chocolate gift

that would surely give him a much-needed lift.

Fudge brownies, gourmet brownies, care packages of pure enchantment.

He would open the box and wonder from who on earth this gift was sent.

Then he'd taste a brownie, or two, or more,

and wonder why he never heard of Fairytale before.

He'll jump with delight, he'll smile a giant smile.

Fairytale Brownies will put the "happy" back in birthday - a feeling not felt in awhile.

As he licks his fingers and finishes every last crumb,

he'll say, "These are the best brownies! How can I get more to come?"

At Fairytale Brownies, we’re serious about supporting our troops. That’s why we send 10 brownie gifts as soldier care packages to U.S. service members worldwide every month through Soldier’s Angels.

Founded in 2003 by the mother of two American soldiers, Soldiers’ Angels provides aid and comfort to the men and women of the U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, their families, and a growing veteran population. Veterans Day is a powerful reminder of the need for organizations like Soldiers’ Angels.

Reviewing under the online name “Military Supporter”, the fan wrote:  "I love sending these brownies to our...

Fudgy chocolate brownies are a great student care package

student care package of browniesAlthough I live near Fairytale Brownies headquarters and my alma matre of Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., I spend my summers in Seattle. Believe it or not, it’s rather hot back home at this time of year.

Late last month, I was invited to a Sun Devil Send-Off event in Seattle. The event offered recent Seattle area high school graduates the chance to ask local alumni like me about their college experience and make friends with other incoming students before heading south to Arizona.

The Seattle event was one of more than three dozen send-offs from New York City to Shanghai, China.

What a great idea. Right?

After all, college is hard enough on new students. Living away from home. Cooking and cleaning for yourself. Maybe even studying from time to time.

At Fairytale Brownies, we think a great way to help your student warm to college life is with a student care package of fudgy chocolate brownies wrapped in a festive good luck band.

A single well-timed fudgy chocolate brownie can...

Remember your favorite service person with Patriotic brownies for Memorial Day

send browniesMy son has always wanted to be a pilot. Except for an obsession with cooking shows, and my pots and pans when he was 2, he's always loved everything about flight, planes, jets, and the military.

Although I'm extremely proud of all that he's accomplished, and thankful for his service to our country (U.S. Air Force), like any Mom, I miss him terribly. Because he's stationed 6,000 miles away, I can't just hop on a plane and pop in for a visit. So we Facetime and email, and I send brownie care packages whenever the mood strikes.

brownie care packagesMemorial Day weekend is coming up. Whether you remember your favorite military person with a Patriotic gift from Fairytale Brownies, or order brownies for the party you're having in the back yard, we've got Memorial Day covered.

Fairytale makes it easy to send brownies - we ship to APO/FPO addresses.

But don't forget to send extras. They WILL share.

5 Reasons to Gift Gourmet Brownies

Gift Gourmet Brownies

It's never been easier to send gourmet brownies to your friends, family and loved ones. Looking for a reason to gift gourmet brownies? Here are 5 to get you started:

  1. Health Benefits of Chocolate: According to women's health mag, chocolate is now considered a "superfood!" Cacao, the bean chocolate is made from is packed with healthy chemicals like flavonoids and theobromine, which has disease-killing components. Stick to chocolate with at least 70% cacao, you'll reap the benefits. Fairytale Brownies are baked with Callebaut Dark Belgian Chocolate (pure - unsweetened).
  2. Evoke childhood memories and sensations: According to howstuffworks, smells and tastes can bring on a flood of memories that influence people moods. Because we encounter most new smells and tastes in our youth, they often call up childhood memories. Childhood memories shape our lives, and reliving the  loving sensation of eating Mom's brownies after school is one that I want to relive as many times as possible.
  3. Send a Thank...
