Experience the Difference with Fairytale's Brownie Gift Basket

Because our fudge brownies, gourmet cookies and buttery blondie bars are baked with quality ingredients, and our packaging is custom designed, most people react animatedly when they receive a Fairytale Brownies gift. This reaction is all a part of the "Fairytale Experience." The following is a recent recipient's response when a brownie gift was sent to her from Kim Silva, Operations Team Leader:

OMG!

The Brownies!  OMG!
My first brownie was the “Espresso Nib”.
Just the right sweetness…
Just the right cake-like melt-in-your-mouth smoothness…
Just the right crunchiness…
UNBELIEVABLE!
I will be saving them in my freezer and doling them out to myself to savor for the next 6 months.  I will remember you and David with each bite!

But the Experience of JOY!  OMG!
You see, the package may have been delivered last night, but I received it this morning when Jasmine went outside.
The pristine packaging – the white box by my front door…
The name, Fairytale Brownies, Did someone want to send me...

What is comfort food to you?

Comfort foods.  We have all heard the term, and I am sure just reading it has put a specific food in your mind. I personally think of mashed potatoes and gravy, must be the Irish in me. But I also think of chocolate, like that found in our Belgian Chocolate Brownies.

The old psychology student in me got curious about our behavior with certain foods and why we find them so comforting. Many people turn to certain foods to positively impact their emotions. They choose foods that either trigger nostalgia or that let them indulge. For some people, comfort food is something that is convenient, while with others it is the actual physical comfort the food provides.

What are specific comfort foods? Well, it really comes down to personal preferences and of course culture plays a big role. A study did reveal some patterns in the United States. The study found that “Males preferred warm, hearty, meal-related comfort foods (such as steak, casseroles, and soup), while females instead preferred comfort...

Gourmet brownies to celebrate 40 years of marriage!

My parents are celebrating their 40thwedding anniversary! They truly are an inspiration to the lovers out there.  They always filled our home with so much love, and my brother and I are lucky to have them as examples in our lives.

My parents always say, “Don’t get us anything!”  But special occasions like this one deserve recognition, so I had to send them some delicious gourmet brownies from Fairytale Brownies! My mom is a diabetic but thankfully we offer sugar free brownies! I sent them our Happy Anniversary Morsel 36 and opted to choose my own flavors! This is a great feature that allows me to customize the gift based on my parents’ needs and tastes. I made sure half of the delicious bite-size morsels were sugar-free so my mom can enjoy them, and chose non sugar free flavors, like caramel and chocolate chip, so my dad gets what he wants as well.

Delicious gourmet brownies hand-packed and wrapped in an elegant Happy Anniversary Band, delivered right to their door, what a...

3 fun facts about gourmet cookies

gourmet cookiesIf you’re reading this blog, I’d guess there’s not much you don’t know about cookies. I mean, you’re not just here for the brownie gifts are you? Considering our six flavors of gourmet cookies, I’d certainly hope not!

Well, if you’re in the mood for some fun facts about one of our favorite food gifts, you’re in luck. The folks over at Epicurious recently uncovered five little-known facts about chocolate chip cookies on a tour of the headquarters of Nestlé's Toll House Cookies in Solon, Ohio.

You can read her full article of five fun facts here, or get three of our favorite highlights below.

  1. Ruth Wakefield of Whitman, Mass., baked the first chocolate chip cookie ever in the 1930s when she added pieces of a chocolate bar into her cookie batter.
  2. Size didn’t matter with the world’s first chocolate chip cookie. It was roughly the size of a quarter. Fortunately, the standard size of chocolate chip cookies has increased a bit over the years.
  3. The chocolate chip cookie is America's most popular cookie...

Gourmet cookies. Fudge brownies. Crackers and biscuits?

fudge browniesI spent this weekend camping in North Cascades National Park and rafting down the Skagit River in northern Washington. What an adventure!

One member of our party was an Englishwoman working as an au pair in Seattle. Now, this young lady loved her desserts, so she’d definitely have loved gourmet cookies and fudge brownies from Fairytale Brownies.

That said, she may have had trouble ordering them – even if we had found an Internet connection out in the wilderness.

As Irish writer George Bernard Shaw once said, “England and America are two countries divided by a common language.” This woman, like her English countrymen, have got their cookies and brownies all mixed up with their biscuits and crackers.

If you’re unclear where our two nations stand, here’s a rundown:

In England, a biscuit is a small baked product that an American would probably refer to either as a cookie (if it was sweet) or a cracker (if it was savory).

In England, the word cookie is used only to describe a chocolate chip cookie....

Pumpkin Spice Fudge Brownies Are Just Weeks Away From Debut

fudge browniesOoh!

Aah!

You're killing me.

What IS that?

Mmmmm!

Oh, that is the bomb.

What a pleasure to hear people's reactions to tasting Fairytale Brownies' new Pumpkin Spice Brownie at a recent trade show in Long Beach, Calif. The new seasonal brownie debuts Sept. 2 and we gave show attendees a sneak preview.

Overall, the reviews were positive. On the first day of our show, we only had one person say he didn't care for the new flavor. He not only didn't care for it, he passionately said, "I hate it."

He brought his wife back with him to our booth on the second day and told her how much he hated the fudge brownie. He wanted her to sample it and give her opinion. She tasted it and loved it.

I get it. Not everyone likes pumpkin. Not everyone likes chocolate either. I can't imagine why, but to each his own. Personally, I LOVE pumpkin. I can't wait for the season of everything pumpkin to return. And now that Fairytale will have a Pumpkin Spice Brownie, I couldn't be happier.

Our Pumpkin Spice Brownie doesn't...

New Seasonal Gourmet Brownie Flavor Popular at SAAC Show

Last week we were in Long Beach for the SAAC Show 2014 - an international trade show for distributors of promotional products. This was our second year exhibiting, and I have to say that we enjoy everything about the show - the people, the venue, the location.

This year, we introduced our new Pumpkin Spice Brownie to all SAAC Show attendees. Although the gourmet brownies will not be available for purchase until Sept. 2, we wanted to share our NEW flavor ahead of time for when it debuts. Because the Pumpkin Spice Brownie is seasonal, it will only be available for purchase between Sept. 2 and Dec. 31.

pumpkin, gourmet brownieThe Pumpkin Spice Brownie was a hit with show attendees. Even those who said they don't like pumpkin pie said they liked the brownie because the pumpkin flavor isn't overpowering. Our Pumpkin Spice brownie begins with a rich, Belgian dark chocolate base. Then we take sweet pumpkin puree and blend it with cream cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger, and swirl it into the brownie...

Fudgy chocolate brownies are a great student care package

student care package of browniesAlthough I live near Fairytale Brownies headquarters and my alma matre of Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., I spend my summers in Seattle. Believe it or not, it’s rather hot back home at this time of year.

Late last month, I was invited to a Sun Devil Send-Off event in Seattle. The event offered recent Seattle area high school graduates the chance to ask local alumni like me about their college experience and make friends with other incoming students before heading south to Arizona.

The Seattle event was one of more than three dozen send-offs from New York City to Shanghai, China.

What a great idea. Right?

After all, college is hard enough on new students. Living away from home. Cooking and cleaning for yourself. Maybe even studying from time to time.

At Fairytale Brownies, we think a great way to help your student warm to college life is with a student care package of fudgy chocolate brownies wrapped in a festive good luck band.

A single well-timed fudgy chocolate brownie can...
