Fairytale Brownies Makes Monthly Birthday Gifting Easy for Businesses

chocolate brownies, deliver browniesBirthdays are kind of a big deal at Fairytale Brownies. Some of us decorate cubicles with balloons, streamers and confetti, and shower each other with gifts of food and little surprises - all to let our co-workers know they are special. And then we receive a treat from the owners of the company. I have to say - it doesn't matter how old you are, that little bit of appreciation boosts your spirits so much that you feel like you can do anything that day.

We've discovered many businesses celebrating similarly - They're using Fairytale Brownies gifts as the birthday surprise.

Companies will email us a spreadsheet listing the names, birth dates and addresses to send for a particular month. Then we will ship the specific gift requested by the birth dates with the specified gift messages. Some companies choose to deliver brownies to employees, clients or vendors at their home address. Others ship brownies to their work address. Either way, the recipient is sure to receive a fresh box of...

Gourmet brownies the inventor of peanut butter would love

peanut butter cookie giftThirty-five years after he was born on this day in 1849, Marcellus Gilmore Edson changed life as we know it. (Or, at least as I know it, since I’m somewhat addicted to his invention.)

According to Wikipedia, the Canadian pharmacist became the first person to patent peanut butter in 1884. In his patent application, he described peanut butter as having “a consistency like that of butter, lard, or ointment” and requiring peanuts to be milled to “a fluid or semi-fluid state.”

If that sounds less than appetizing, our peanut butter-flavored gourmet brownies and cookie gifts may do the trick for you.

Our Peanut Butter Cookie combines natural peanut butter and pure cane sugar to create a creamy cookie with that classic peanut butter taste.

Our customer service team lead Ellie Perry is especially fond of the cookie. “The peanut butter cookie is a classic-style cookie,” she said. “Rich peanut butter flavor with just the right amount of crunch on the edge and soft texture in the middle. LOVE IT!”

Our P...

Gourmet brownies we’d enjoy again and again on Groundhog Day

Well, it's Groundhog Day... again…espresso nib gourmet brownie

Bill Murray’s 1993 comedy hit Groundhog Day is as key to my knowledge of the holiday as Punxsutawney Phil. As you may recall, Murray’s character was doomed to repeat Groundhog Day over and over until he managed to successfully woo costar Andie MacDowell.

Over the last couple years, we’ve asked our teammates which of our gourmet brownie and cookie gifts is their favorite. These are the treats they’d enjoy again and again … just in case Groundhog Day repeats.

“My favorites have got to be the Toffee Crunch Brownie. I love the crunchiness of the toffee when it comes straight out of the refrigerator. Also, the Fairytale Bars are just so good. I can’t resist the Cheesecake Swirl Bar. Our sweet and buttery bars can't be beat.” ~ Jasmin Santiago, retail sales

“My favorite brownie is definitely the Raspberry Swirl Brownie. The raspberry flavor just melts in your mouth. Oh, and the Peanut Butter Cookie is absolutely amazing.” ~ Donna Baker, accounting

“My favorite...

No 3D printer? Order cookies by mail from us!

You may not have seen one yet, but 3D printers are the next big thing.cookie gifts

What are they? 3D printers create real-life versions of digital files by layering threads of plastic on top of one another. NASA recently emailed a file of a wrench to the International Space Station and the astronauts aboard “printed” it to tighten a bolt. How cool is that?!?

Not all use cases for a 3D printer are as glamorous. But they sure can be tasty.

Cookie Caster is a new website where you can design a custom cookie cutter and print it on your in-home 3D printer. Now that would make for some unique cookie gifts!

What, you don’t have your own 3D printer yet? Well, don’t worry about that. As long as you don’t mind your cookies being round, you can order cookies by mail from Fairytale Brownies.

Baked with premium, all-natural ingredients, our gourmet cookie gifts are just like homemade. And they come in six mouth-watering flavors: Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Caramel Pecan, Coconut Walnut, and Toffee...

Best brownie? Of course! First brownies? Well, not so fast.

best browniesAt Fairytale Brownies, we’re confident that when you order brownies from us, you’ll receive the best brownies out there.

That said, we’ll readily admit that our brownies weren’t the first brownies out there. After all, we didn’t start baking brownies until 1992.

Mental Floss, a magazine dedicated to random facts and trivia, recently provided some of the back story on the world’s first brownies. Alas, identifying the inventor of any dessert dish can be a challenge. It’s not like patents are involved. So, the magazine offered up three scenarios:

1) An unknown chef was making biscuits and mixed in melted chocolate by accident. Either that or he was baking a cake and ran out of flour. We think the ambiguity alone is enough to discredit this theory.

2) A housewife in Bangor, Maine, was baking a chocolate cake and forgot to add baking powder. That seems a bit more plausible to us, but it doesn’t explain how brownies gained popularity outside her kitchen.

3) Chefs at Chicago’s Palmer House Hotel...

Send those college students some sugar!

It is finals time! Many college students are hitting the books hard, preparing for finals before taking their holiday break. I can recall those college finals weeks, well sort of.  It was more of a haze of cramming and caffeine than anything, and longing for the fun of holiday break.

If you have a student away at college, send them a little pre-holiday treat from Fairytale Brownies. The sugar will do them good and they will be reminded that they are so close to coming home to family, friends and festivities.

Kristine from Portland, Oregon sent some to her college student. She said, “A friend received these as a gift and shared at work. Delicious! Can't wait for my University of Oregon son to get them for Finals Week! -- I work at Portland State University so I know college kids. --This is a great item to send your college kid. Quick, easy, affordable, and nothing says I love you like brownies!”

We have many occasions to choose from, including Christmas, Holiday, and Celebrate the Season Gi...

Ditch the guilt and share a fudgy chocolate brownie gift with a friend

fudgy chocolate brownie giftThe Journal of Consumer Research recently released a study that contains great news for lovers of fudgy chocolate brownies worldwide.

It turns out that when you ask a friend to share a dessert – as opposed to each of you picking your own – it reduces your friend’s guilt by removing the burden of choice. Or, in the words of technology magazine Ars Technica:

“Normally, people do not enjoy being forced to do something. People also do not enjoy the guilt that comes with doing something that is bad for them. Surprisingly, these two wrongs seem to make a right: when people are compelled to engage in vices, they feel better than when they freely choose the vice for themselves.”

Huzzah!

In honor of this new research, we’d like to remind you that we have three brownie gifts wrapped in wintry bands inscribed with seasonal messages that are fit for sharing this holiday season. Whether you want to say Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, or Celebrate the Season, Fairytale Brownies has you covered.

So, share a...

Gourmet brownies with pumpkin for fans of fall

Growing up in the dry desert climate of metro Phoenix, I had little exposure to changing leaves. In fact, my understanding of fall color was pretty much limited to exterior shots of college football stadiums in the Midwest.

Well, late last month I ventured into the forests of northern Arizona to do a little leaf peeping. I loved what I found. Reds. Oranges. Golds. Ah yes. Fall was in the air!

If you’re as excited about fall as I was in that moment, then Fairytale Brownies has you covered with gourmet brownies with a fall theme.

We offer more than two dozen configurations of our gourmet brownies with fall-themed bands. Wrapped in a festive Happy Thanksgiving or golden fall gift band, these Belgian chocolate brownies are a great way to warm your loved one’s hearts and souls on cool autumn evenings.

Plus, for a limited time, we’re offering our seasonal Pumpkin Spice Brownie. Our newest creation combines sweet pumpkin puree with cream cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger to create the...

Send A Brownie Birthday Surprise When You Can't Be There to Celebrate

ship browniesWhen my children were young, people used to tell me to enjoy every minute with them - even the "stressful" ones - because they would grow up too quickly. I couldn't imagine my three little boys ever growing up. I figured I would be forever stepping on stray Lego pieces, and finding rubber balls and Matchbox cars stuffed in the oddest places.

But time does go by, and children do grow up. My "baby" is turning 21 next week!

Although we won't be together to celebrate this year, I will ship brownies to him so that he can celebrate with friends at school. Fairytale's Birthday Surprise is a fun little party in a box - and I can choose his favorite flavors (Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Caramel, Original, Cream Cheese).

Maybe I'll send a few toy cars as well to remind him of the "old" days.
