Come Visit the House that Fairytale Brownies Built

We're building a house at Fairytale Brownies! A brownie house, that is.

bricksOur brownie house will be on display at "Home Sweet Home," a gingerbread show to benefit Neighborhood Housing Services Phoenix from Nov. 25 through Dec. 2 at the Arizona Science Center.

The Fairytale Brownies house will be made from bricks of gourmet brownies. We are using Raspberry Swirl and Original flavors.

Flavorful pecan halves separate the flavors and also adorn the Toffee-tiled roof.

We are experimenting with our chewy cookies to create Christmas trees. So far we've used Double Chocolate and Peanut Butter. I'm a little full from eating all of the extra pieces that didn't become part of the trees!

Our Fairytale trees from the Fairytale Enchanted Forest will be made of chocolate licorice ropes. Almonds will simulate the cacao pods growing on our trees.

piecesWe are creating the windows and front door today. And then we will assemble and begin decorating our new abode. We are on a tight work schedule though. The house is scheduled for delivery to the Science Center on Tuesday.

Many Valley "bakers" are participating in this house-building event. All of the houses will be silent auctioned on Dec. 2. Viewing and bidding will be from Nov. 25 - Dec. 2. (Bidding winner must be present to take home their house.) All proceeds from the auction will go to NHS Phoenix.

I can't wait to see our finished house on display with the other finely built houses.

What a great way to start the holiday season.

The Arizona Science Center is located at 600 E. Washington St. Phoenix.
