Four of us just got back from delivering a van full of Radio Flyer Red Wagons and Tricycles to the children at Sojourner Center in Phoenix.
The squeals of delight from the preschoolers when they saw the trikes and wagons lined up on their playground made my heart skip a beat. Those kids were adorable!
One little 4-year-old boy hopped on a trike and took off around the walkway at full speed. Others took their time and checked out the goods before trying them out. (The adults were delighted as well. We brought fudge brownies for them to share.)
I wish all our team members at Fairytale Brownies could have been with us at the center, but I know they had just as much fun building the toys for the children at our teambuilding event the day before.
During the event, eight Fairytale Brownies teams played games to earn parts to build their tricycles and wagons. They burst balloons on their bellies, caught balls in buckets on their heads, lit up tap lights with thrown bean bags, and found color-coded sheets of paper that were hidden around campus.
Then they built their trikes and wagons. Some of us had a few troubles with parts... we are gourmet brownie bakers, remember, not toy builders.
In the end, we had a nice little fleet of Radio Flyers.
