Recently, the ALS Association Arizona Chapter and the Spark Hope Foundation hosted their annual Bite Nite Fundraiser www.bitenite.org. This particular charity holds a special place in my heart because my mother-in-law, Mary, was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago. She struggles each and everyday to live life to the fullest, an admirable feat considering ALS is so extremely debilitating. Mary had the honor of co-chairing this year's event and was in charge of sourcing various donations for the silent auction, she called on us and we were more than happy to lend a helping hand.
Fairytale Brownies has always been a big supporter, and I am truly thankful. This year Fairytale Brownies was able to donate a variety of gift cards to be auctioned off, and fans from across the valley were able to bid on getting their loot of fudgy chocolate brownies. It's so much fun to see the excitement in people's faces when they recognize the Fairytale Brownies brand - the gourmet brownie gifts and Belgian chocolate brownies have gained a following of loyal fans throughout the years, especially here in the valley.
The generosity of Fairytale Brownies and others who support ALS Bite Nite make it possible to fund a cure, and hopefully one day there will be a cure. Until then, we will continue to do whatever we can in support of ALS and Mary, she has always been there for us and we will always be there for her.
