Order brownies and cookies in bulk to save

How much would you pay for a shot glass-shaped cookie filled with milk – no dunking required?

order brownies onlineWell, according to Grub Street, a New Yorker recently bought eight of celebrity chef Dominique Ansel's cookie shots at an auction for $6,500. That’s $812.50 per cookie shot!

If that seems reasonable, then boy do we have a deal for you!

When you forgo the packaging to order brownies in bulk, you get them for $31.95 per dozen. That’s just $2.66 per brownie. Not bad, huh?

If cookies are more to your liking, you can order cookies in bulk for just $35.95 per two dozen, or $1.50 per cookie. Of course, these cookies won’t fold into a cylinder and hold milk. But that seems a small price to pay for such a killer deal.

Now, it’s important to note that the price of Ansel’s cookie shots benefited City Harvest, a nonprofit that collects food to feed the underprivileged of New York. Ansel shared his excitement over the fundraising windfall by tweeting: “8 cookie shots gets $6.5K for City Harvest! It's just 24cents...

Fudge brownie gifts that double as architectural marvels

North Country Public Radio in northern New York recently reported on an interesting trend. Cookie architects like Rebecca Weld of Potsdam, N.Y., are constructing miniature buildings out of cookies and then posting the photos online.

fudge brownie gifts in a towerYou can see one of Rebecca’s creations hereHow fun is that?!

At Fairytale Brownies, we’re big fans of stacking sweets. Have you seen our collection of fudge brownie gift towers? Nestled inside these splendid pillars are fudge brownies, gourmet cookies, and buttery bars that are revealed one layer of the tower at a time.

Our top-selling stack of sweets is our Regal Tower, which includes 30 fudge brownies in three different sizes, eight gourmet cookies, and three buttery bars. No wonder it weighs in at over six pounds!

Here’s what Ginger from Atlanta had to say about the Regal Tower: “The variety gave us an opportunity to try new products and to sample some new flavors and we've loved them all so far. I love the packaging - it was in the shipping box as 4...

Capturing the Deliciousness of Gourmet Brownies Through Photography

Most of Fairytale Brownies business is done through mail order. Many people order brownies, cookies and bars online at brownies.com or through a catalog before they even taste them. So it's really important that we have excellent photos of our gourmet desserts. Since you can’t taste the treats, we need to convey just how yummy they are through visuals!

Twice a year, my team and I spend one to two weeks with a professional photographer and food stylists to create the most delicious looking photography that we can. When your brownie delivery arrives, you can tell just by looking at them how great they are going to be, but capturing that in an image takes a lot of time and work. However, it is also a lot of fun!

Our gourmet brownies, cookies and bars really are the stars of the shoot. We spend time making sure each treat looks its best! Of course with all those gourmet brownies around, it is impossible not to treat ourselves to some sweets. After making them look so irresistible how can I not...

Calling all ideas!! Submit your best and win a brownie gift!

Being a marketer, I'm constantly thinking about ways that we can be more engaging with our customers. Other than the obvious Facebook giveaways and Twitter contests, I started thinking about other, better ways that we could get a conversation going. I started going through some of my files from years past and came across a contest that Fairytale Brownies ran in 2008. The premise of the contest was "Take Fairytale Brownies on Vacation" and to enter, you simply had to submit a photo of you on vacation with your Fairytale Brownies. This was one of the most successful contests that we've run over the years; we had some very interesting (and far away!) entries. I've included some of the entries below (although some of these entries were not "vacation" related persay, they were still taken far from home). Enjoy this walk down memory lane with me . . . snorkeling, Hawaii, Greece, Europe, ball games, serving in Afghanistan and more!

If you have ideas on ways you'd like to see...

Fairytale Brownies Gains Superior Score With AIB

Every year Fairytale Brownies voluntarily submits to a Food Safety/GMP Inspection administered by AIB (American Institute of Baking).  These inspections are in addition to the local Maricopa County Health Dept. Inspections and routine FDA Inspections.

AIB International provides Food Safety Inspections, Audits and Certifications, Food Safety Education, and Research & Technical Services.  This particular inspection covers 5 key areas that represent standard requirements a facility must meet in order to keep food products wholesome and safe.  The "Standards" also reflect what an inspector would expect in a facility that maintains a food-safe processing environment.  Each year these standards become more strict in order to ensure that the food supply chain is safe.  At Fairytale Brownies we have always believed in producing the highest quality products under the safest conditions.

This year Fairytale Brownies once again scored in the "Superior" range, gaining perfect scores in...

Rich, Callebuat Belgian chocolate vs. Spicy Mexican Chocolate

Having traveled to Los Cabos, Mexico recently, I noticed many delicious confections made with Mexican chocolate that I was dying to try. This got me wondering what exactly Mexican chocolate was and how did it differ from the rich, dark Callebaut Belgian chocolate that Fairytale Brownies uses to bake our decadent treats. Here's what I found:

Mexican chocolate is made from dark, bitter chocolate mixed with sugar, cinnamon, and sometimes nuts. The end result is a grainy, less smooth chocolate. It is frequently bought in disks, though you can also purchase the chocolate in bar and syrup form. The traditional uses for Mexican chocolate are hot drinks such as Atole (served with tamales), Champurrado (served as a dessert with churros or a sweet bread called Pan Dulce) and Mexican Hot Chocolate.

Other popular uses for Mexican chocolate are in Tejate (a cold drink made of dark chocolate, corn masa, cocoa flowers, then marinated and frothed), and Mole (a sauce filled with spices, tomato and...

Remember your favorite service person with Patriotic brownies for Memorial Day

send browniesMy son has always wanted to be a pilot. Except for an obsession with cooking shows, and my pots and pans when he was 2, he's always loved everything about flight, planes, jets, and the military.

Although I'm extremely proud of all that he's accomplished, and thankful for his service to our country (U.S. Air Force), like any Mom, I miss him terribly. Because he's stationed 6,000 miles away, I can't just hop on a plane and pop in for a visit. So we Facetime and email, and I send brownie care packages whenever the mood strikes.

brownie care packagesMemorial Day weekend is coming up. Whether you remember your favorite military person with a Patriotic gift from Fairytale Brownies, or order brownies for the party you're having in the back yard, we've got Memorial Day covered.

Fairytale makes it easy to send brownies - we ship to APO/FPO addresses.

But don't forget to send extras. They WILL share.

Cinnamon Crumb Blondie Bars

My favorite gourmet treat that Fairytale Brownies bakes is the Cinnamon Crumb Blondie Bar. I am absolutely in love with it. I was reminded of my love for this tasty treat when I walked into work today and the fragrant aroma of spicy cinnamon mixed with crunchy walnuts wafted through the air. Lucky for me, today was my day for quality assurance. You see, in addition to my job duties as Web Designer and Marketer, I am also on the Quality Assurance Team. This means that once a week, I visit the baking department and taste what delicious treats they've baked that day. I score the product on Appearance, Taste, Texture, Smell, Aroma, and an overall Pass/Hold score. This is a very formal process that involves forms, score sheets, etc. But all of that formality aside, I can't wait to sink my teeth into freshly baked brownies, moist and chewy cookies and especially my favorite, sweet and buttery bars once a week. It's my treat for having the self-control to not indulge every day. Working at...

Welcome New Employees to the Team with Brownie Gifts

Starting a new job is an exciting venture, but for some, it can be a stressful experience. Some of our business buyers hope to ease those new job jitters by sending employees "welcome to the team" brownie gifts.

brownie giftsI received a Fairytale Dozen the week before I started working for Fairytale Brownies. I was so surprised by the brownie delivery - I felt beyond special! When my first day finally arrived, I felt as though I was already a part of the team.

Credit unions, banks, employment agencies, gourmet brownie companies. Some places of busniess just know how to make a new employee feel a part of the team before they even start working there! Why not be one of them?
