Mother's Day Delivery Brownies!

History on Mother's Day: Some of the earliest tributes to Mother's date back to the annual spring festival the Greeks dedicated to Rhea, the mother of many deities, and to the offerings ancient Romans made to their Great Mother of Gods. In the US, Mother's Day started about 150 years ago when an Appalachian homemaker organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers (http://mothers-day.123holiday.net/). There were many events that led up to that day that we know today to be Mother's Day. You can read about it here.

Now the modern Mother's Day is celebrated on many parts of the world, most commonly in March, April or May. Today, Mother's Day is a day honoring mothers, and is the day when you acknowledge your mothers contribution in your life and pay a tribute to her, often with flowers and gifts. And speaking of showering Mom with gifts... :)

Why not shower her with Gourmet Brownies!? I don't know a Mom who would object to being showered with fudgy chocolate brownies and/or moist chewy cookies. Our Mom's deserve the very best, so every Mother's Day both my Mom and my Mother-In-Law get Fairytale Brownies. This year my Mom specifically asked me to send cookies because she wanted to try our two newest flavors (Coconut Walnut and Toffee Chocolate Chip). Wait until she hears about our two new flavors coming in September 2011 (Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate)!

Remember to order by 2pm AZ time on Tuesday, May 3rd for delivery by Mother's Day via standard shipping - expedited delivery methods are available too. Order online at brownies.com, or call 800.324.7982. Here are a few gift suggestions that I think your Mother's will love! ~Hilary
