Each year small and large busineses alike attend the Operations Summit Conference; the only conference exclusively about Direct-to-Customer operations & fulfillment. This years conference was held in Indianapolis, IN from April 22 - 24, and Fairytale Brownies co-founder David Kravetz attended. Not only did David attend, but he also was the speaker at a few sessions regarding the challenges of running a small business in today's economic climate, in addition to hosting a round table lunch which discussed legacy software management.
Of course you can't discuss the in's and out's of a gourmet brownie business without having plenty of samples to pass around for the guests. Following David's speach, each attendee received an 8-Sprite gift favor to enjoy. Reviews from the operations summit were very positive. Here's an example: "The Operations Summit was a very good experience. I was able to talk to vendors and discuss possible solutions for issues we were experiencing. Also, the breakfast and round tables provided a change to listen to experts answer questions and share experiences with other participants. The speakers provided insights and stimulated ideas for me to try in my situation at work." ~Bill F., Ralph Lauren (source).
The employees at Fairytale Brownies feel it is very important to the growth of the company, and the personal development of each individual to attend these industry best practices conferences. You may see memebers of the Fairytale Brownies family milling around conferences such as: Email Evolution Conference, Annual Conference for Catalogers & Multichannel Merchants, Operations Summit, Ecometry Users, and other industry trade shows such as the PPAI Show, Fancy Food Show, and The Chocolate Show in New York.
Below are a few pictures taken during David's speach. He was happy to report that his speech went very well and he received great feedback from the attendees.
