Send brownies to your boss – or Michael Scott – on Boss’s Day

72 gourmet cookiesOctober 16 is an important day in offices across America. That’s the day we celebrate the men and women who cut the paychecks.

That’s right. October 16 is Boss’s Day, the perfect day to show your appreciation – or just do a little brown-nosing – by sending gourmet brownies or cookie gifts to the guy or gal in the big office down the hall.

While you consider how you’ll recognize Boss’s Day, here are five of our favorite business quotes from one our favorite bosses, Michael Scott of the sitcom The Office:

  • On leadership styles: “Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”
  • On office equality: “You may look around and see two groups here: white collar, blue collar. But I don’t see it that way. And do you know why not? Because I’m collar-blind.”
  • On public speaking: “Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”
  • On office humor: “I love inside jokes. I’d love to be a part of one...

Customer makes lasting impression with Fairytale gourmet brownie gift

True story - Fairytale Brownies treats can help seal a business deal after just one bite of our fudgy brownies or soft and chewy Fairytale Cookies. It may sound a bit boastful, but that's exactly how so many of our customers BECOME Fairytale customers.

But you don't have to take our word for it. Consider a recent comment from a Realtor on the East Coast:

"There are gifts you get that are "pretty," but the taste doesn't live up to the packaging. I received Fairytale Brownies as a thank-you gift from a home builder. After tasting them, I was so impressed that I detoured from my usual real estate closing gift, to send these instead, knowing they will make a lasting impression - they are just that good!"  - Michelle H., Mooresville, NC

Thanks, Michelle! We couldn't have said it better.

Send Brownies to help "burn the midnight oil"

The summer months are huge for me as that's when I am tasked with planning and completing improvements to the brownies.com website. Starting in September, website traffic significantly increases because that's when our new Fall/Holiday catalogs drop in-home (if you're not on our mailing list, join here), and our new gift packaging and brownie/bar/cookie flavors become available. The new things happening this year are: New Fairytale Bar flavors: Lemon Blondie and Cinnamon Crumb, New Sparkling Towers, New Fairytale Towers, New Wish Box, New Celebrate The Season Band, and New Happy New Year Band. Click here for more info on our new products.

Aside of the new gifts becoming available, the marketing department brainstorms what kind of improvements we'd like to have for the website, and I have the summer months to manage those programming projects. Depending on the size of the project, I have several people that I work hand-in-hand with to get large functionality changes complete. I work...
