Fairytale Brownies Makes Monthly Birthday Gifting Easy for Businesses

chocolate brownies, deliver browniesBirthdays are kind of a big deal at Fairytale Brownies. Some of us decorate cubicles with balloons, streamers and confetti, and shower each other with gifts of food and little surprises - all to let our co-workers know they are special. And then we receive a treat from the owners of the company. I have to say - it doesn't matter how old you are, that little bit of appreciation boosts your spirits so much that you feel like you can do anything that day.

We've discovered many businesses celebrating similarly - They're using Fairytale Brownies gifts as the birthday surprise.

Companies will email us a spreadsheet listing the names, birth dates and addresses to send for a particular month. Then we will ship the specific gift requested by the birth dates with the specified gift messages. Some companies choose to deliver brownies to employees, clients or vendors at their home address. Others ship brownies to their work address. Either way, the recipient is sure to receive a fresh box of...

No 3D printer? Order cookies by mail from us!

You may not have seen one yet, but 3D printers are the next big thing.cookie gifts

What are they? 3D printers create real-life versions of digital files by layering threads of plastic on top of one another. NASA recently emailed a file of a wrench to the International Space Station and the astronauts aboard “printed” it to tighten a bolt. How cool is that?!?

Not all use cases for a 3D printer are as glamorous. But they sure can be tasty.

Cookie Caster is a new website where you can design a custom cookie cutter and print it on your in-home 3D printer. Now that would make for some unique cookie gifts!

What, you don’t have your own 3D printer yet? Well, don’t worry about that. As long as you don’t mind your cookies being round, you can order cookies by mail from Fairytale Brownies.

Baked with premium, all-natural ingredients, our gourmet cookie gifts are just like homemade. And they come in six mouth-watering flavors: Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Caramel Pecan, Coconut Walnut, and Toffee...

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently took a swipe at a cherished American baking tradition.mail order cookies

A few days before Christmas, the USDA tweeted, “Baking cookies for Santa? Don’t eat the raw dough! It contains uncooked eggs that may contain Salmonella bacteria.”

Bah humbug!

Send A Brownie Birthday Surprise When You Can't Be There to Celebrate

ship browniesWhen my children were young, people used to tell me to enjoy every minute with them - even the "stressful" ones - because they would grow up too quickly. I couldn't imagine my three little boys ever growing up. I figured I would be forever stepping on stray Lego pieces, and finding rubber balls and Matchbox cars stuffed in the oddest places.

But time does go by, and children do grow up. My "baby" is turning 21 next week!

Although we won't be together to celebrate this year, I will ship brownies to him so that he can celebrate with friends at school. Fairytale's Birthday Surprise is a fun little party in a box - and I can choose his favorite flavors (Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Caramel, Original, Cream Cheese).

Maybe I'll send a few toy cars as well to remind him of the "old" days.

Don't stress over gifting this year, focus on the benefits!

We do it for people’s birthdays, when they are sick, around the holidays, and sometimes just because. Gifting is a huge part of our culture and steeped in tradition. With the holidays coming up I am sure many of you have gifting on your mind, and it can get a bit overwhelming. Before we start making our lists and getting caught up in the shopping frenzy, I’d like to take a moment to remind us all of the benefits of gift giving.

Start with this question: Why do you give gifts?

“I like to make someone else feel good,” is a common response. However, the benefits also extend to the giver and the relationship between them and their recipient. When you decide to give a gift to someone, you are thinking about them. You consider their likes and dislikes. The search for the gift itself can be an emotional lift and reinforce your relationship. You show an interest and appreciation toward another person and this strengthens the bond and it also helps to define the relationship.

According to Devin A....

Banned from Elyria’s cookie craze? Order cookies by mail from us

chocolate cookies by mailOhio’s Elyria City School District recently found itself in hot water with the federal government. The district’s popular pink cookies – loaded with butter, sugar, vegetable shortening, and sour cream – were deemed unhealthy by new federal guidelines for school cafeterias.

As a result, Elyria’s best cookie was banned from the district’s 16 schools. And, as is so often the case, demand only grew once the cookies were banned. It didn’t hurt that national media outlets, including Fox News and newspapers nationwide, ran with the story.

According to the Chronicle-Telegram of Lorain County, Ohio, the school district received over 100 calls and emails from across North America requesting the pink cookies by mail.

If you can’t get a hold of Elyria’s banned pink cookies, we’ve got you covered. With Fairytale Brownies, you can order cookies by mail in a variety of flavors.

Double Chocolate is one of our best cookie flavors. They certainly go over well in the Phoenix home of Fairytale Brownies regular...

Fall in Love with Pumpkin Spice Brownies at Fairytale's Anniversary Open House

Twenty-two years ago, David Kravetz and Eileen Spitalny began their entrepreneurial adventure to bake the best gourmet brownies by co-founding the mail order company Fairytale Brownies. Today, their business not only bakes delicious fudge brownies, the duo has added chewy cookies and buttery blondie bars to the menu... all of which rival their delicious gourmet brownies.

For the past several years we've celebrated Fairytale Brownies' anniversary month with an Open House - sharing new packaging and new products, sampling all of our product flavors, and selling our "reject" brownies for $1. All proceeds from the sale of the rejects go to our national nonprofit partner KaBOOM!

fudge brownies, gourmet brownies, anniversaryThis year's Open House will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at our bakery on Cotton Center Blvd. (48th St. & Broadway Rd.). Cookie gift businesses grow out of recession

cookie giftsOur nation’s recent economic challenges proved to be a fertile time for entrepreneurs. We recently read about a pair of growing cookie gift businesses that got their start during the recession.

The stories of Carolyn's Cookie Co. and Kitchen Vixen Cookie Shop warmed our hearts. After all, we started in much the same way. We just wanted to ship brownies and cookie gifts to dessert lovers like us.

According to The Californian of Salinas, California, Carolyn Walker was inspired to transform her mother’s cookie recipes into a business after reading Seth Godin’s book Linchpin. Unlike many cookie gift entrepreneurs, Carolyn’s idea involved selling frozen cookie dough balls that can be kept in your freezer until you’re ready to prepare them.

Meanwhile, the News Miner of Fairbanks, Alaska, introduced us to Kitchen Vixen Cookie Shop owner Jen Krzmarzick. Jen bakes custom cookies, but that’s not all. Her unique angle is that she loves consulting with clients to help make the perfect cookie – by...
