When I was a child, I remember hearing my aunt recite this silly poem to my uncle on Valentine's Day:
There are tulips in the garden,
There are tulips in the park.
But the two lips I like best are your two lips in the dark.
They laughed and then gave each other a smooch.
Those aren't lines from Shakespeare, but I love that little poem and the memory it brings.
Because I'm always thinking, "chocolate," I have another little poem for Fairytale's fudge brownie lovers:
Violets are purple and roses are red,
Flowers are beautiful, but send fudge brownies instead.
Yes. That one is silly as well. I know our Fairytale Brownies fans can write much better lines than mine! Dazzle me with your poetry skills and you could win a gourmet brownie gift. I'll send the winner a Fairytale Dozen. Respond wherever this blog is posted.
I will monitor the responses, and then a few of us will choose our favorite one on Friday.
